Wee
Kirk of the Valley This inspirational chapel is
located about 6 miles south of Cedar Vale.
It was built by Lotus Day on his farm and has been open to the public since
1964. Complete with marble tablets and oak furnishings, it has been
visited by travelers from all over the world and been the sight of many
weddings. Tours are made by special appointment only.
Spring
Fling
Each spring the Cedar Vale Chamber of Commerce hosts a "Hello spring, goodbye
winter" kind of celebration under the shady trees of Hewins Park and its 18th Century pavilion.
Included are a barbecue cook-off, concerts by nationally known bands,
dances, rodeo and an antique car show along with rides and attractions for the
kids.
Labor
Day
Each year the Cedar Vale Labor Day Committee sponsors a long weekend of
activities. Included are dances in the Hewins Park pavilion, a mud run, rodeo, and on
Monday the downtown area is roped of for a parade and kids games and
races. One of the favorites is the turtle race ,so come on out and find
yourself a turtle.
